Advancing educational justice for refugee and immigrant youth.

WE’RE HERE TO HELP

It’s more than providing shelter and food. It’s about living up to our own American ideal of welcoming those that are yearning to breathe free. It begins with education.

OUR WORK

Nationwide, the challenge is clear

Refugee children are five times more likely to be out of school compared to their peers. They face unique hurdles like language barriers, cultural differences, and bullying. Current educational systems lack specific policies for the education of English Language Learners. Fugees Family, built by and for refugees, is dedicated to changing this narrative. Our model is innovatively designed to address the distinct needs of America’s refugee and immigrant youth, helping them navigate their new reality in the U.S. education system.
